About the Arrowhead Metropolitan District
The AMD, organized in 1981, is a quasi-municipal corporation and a political subdivision of the state of Colorado. It is directed by a homeowner elected* five-member Board. (*Arrowhead Homeowners who are Colorado residents can vote in these elections) The AMD receives its funding through resident property taxes and the Arrowhead local sales tax.
The AMD provides the following services:
- Construction, maintenance and repair of streets, roads, specific street lighting and storm water drainage
- Installation and maintenance of all traffic signs
- Snow removal services for roads, streets, parking lots and common areas
- Transportation Services within the community
- Domestic Water Service through the Upper Eagle River Water Authority
- Mosquito control
- Playground facilities and maintenance
